Part-Time English Language Instructor

Deliver engaging English curriculum as a Part-Time ELC Instructor at the University of Manitoba. Start teaching in-person or online beginning September 8, 2026.

The Department of English Language Centre invites applications for a part-time ELC Instructor. Ideal candidates will have a university degree, TESL Canada-recognized training, and a minimum of five years' experience in English language instruction. You will be responsible for effectively assessing students and providing a supportive learning environment catered to both in-person and virtual formats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and assess students according to curriculum standards

• Prepare online and in-class materials, lessons, and assessments

• Maintain accurate electronic records and documents

• Provide timely feedback on student assessments

• Participate in professional development and staff meetings

Requirements:

• University degree from an accredited institution

• Completed TESL Canada-recognized TEAL training

• Minimum five years of teaching experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
