Join the University of Winnipeg as a Contract Academic Staff member in Women's and Gender Studies. Teach Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies from September 2026 to April 2027.
The Faculty of Arts seeks applications for Contract Academic Staff roles focused on WGS-. You will be responsible for teaching 36 classes with an enrollment of approximately 70 students, held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Candidates must hold an M.A. in Women's and Gender Studies or a related field to qualify for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies course
• Manage 36 classes effectively with diverse enrolment
• Prepare and deliver engaging course materials
• Assess and provide feedback on student assignments
• Collaborate with departmental faculty as necessary
Requirements:
• M.A. in Women's and Gender Studies or related field
• Experience in teaching or teaching assistantship preferred
• Commitment to equity and diversity in the classroom
• Ability to adapt courses based on student needs
• Open to collaboration and mentorship opportunities
