The University of Manitoba is seeking an experienced French Horn Instructor for the Major Practical Study course. The position requires a Bachelor of Music degree with a preferred Master’s in Music. Responsibilities include providing weekly individualized instruction, assessment of student progress, and grading assignments to foster student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly individual studio instruction for students

• Assess and oversee student performance preparation

• Mark and grade assignments, exams, and performances

• Provide constructive and actionable feedback to students

• Support students in their musical development and performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Music degree required;
Master preferred

• Established performing record and university teaching experience

• Background in French Horn is essential

• Strong communication skills in English

• Ability to provide constructive feedback
