Middle to High School Instrumental Music Instructor

Shape the future of young musicians as a Middle to High School Instrumental Music Instructor. Oversee diverse programs from lower grades to the High School Orchestra while collaborating on curriculum integration.

Your role will encompass leading the instrumental music program, guiding students through Wind and String Ensembles, and ensuring high-quality performance opportunities. Additionally, you’ll plan lessons every spring to complete the teaching load and work closely with faculty members to enhance educational experiences through music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Grades 5-8 Wind and String Ensemble classes

• Manage the High School Orchestra and its events

• Coordinate with private music teachers for instructional alignment

• Conduct at school performances and festivals

• Coordinate with faculty to integrate music into lessons

Requirements:

• Music Education Degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of two years teaching or related experience

• Proficient with Winds and Strings instruments

• Desire to collaborate with colleagues and parents

• Open to Waldorf teaching methodologies
