Hourly rate: $17.54 per hour plus vacation pay

Preference will be given to students who have taken the course they are applying for and completed it with a B+ or higher. Familiarity with Indigenous‑focused subject matter is preferred.

Applicants must provide a copy of their latest student transcript.

International students must have a valid study permit that allows on‑campus work and must be enrolled as a full‑time University of Manitoba student for the duration of the appointment.

• Meet with the course employment supervisor to receive orientation, grading guidelines, and provide written feedback to students.
• Grade and mark student work from tests, exams, or projects.
• Provide written feedback to students on the quality of their work.
• Maintain a regularly scheduled and posted consultation timetable for students regarding test, exam, or project results.
• Assist in the production of tests, exams, or projects under the supervision of the person responsible for the laboratory or class.

• Completion of academic studies resulting in expertise specifically appropriate to grading or marking the assigned material.
• An empathetic approach to the instructional needs and concerns of students.
• Effective communication skills in the English language.
