Position: WOMN 1600 A01 Teaching Instructor
University College of the North is hiring a Sessional Instructor for WOMN 1600 A01, focusing on Women's and Gender Studies in Social Sciences. Engage in hands-on teaching and support from September to December.

This teaching opportunity requires a master's degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate and a strong background in the subject area. Responsibilities include developing course materials, instructing, grading, and providing vital feedback. In-person classes are scheduled throughout the term in Thompson, making student interaction essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create instructional materials tailored for WOMN 1600 A01

• Teach face-to-face classes effectively

• Assess and grade student work thoroughly

• Provide meaningful feedback for student improvement

• Maintain regular office hours for student engagement

Requirements:

• Master’s degree, Ph.D. or currently enrolled Ph.D. candidate

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English

• Relevant specialization in Women’s Studies required

• Competency in post-secondary teaching practices

• Understanding and empathy for student concerns
