Position Overview

Grade 6-8 Teacher (full-time, 1.0 FTE) term position at Blumenfeld School, effective September 8, 2026 – June 30, 2027. The Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic educational community in the heartland of Manitoba’s Pembina Valley Region, serving about 4,300 students across 14 schools.

The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess instruction for grades 6-8, participate in a multi‑grade classroom setting, and may teach basic art/music and physical education on an as‑needed basis. The position requires collaborative teamwork with colleagues and contributions to school operations.

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
• Prior experience teaching within a multi‑grade class is an asset.
• Ability or willingness to teach some basic art/music and physical education would be considered an asset.
• The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member is essential.
• Successful completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.

Blumenfeld School is part of the Border Valley Unit located in the Village of Blumenfeld, a 20‑minute drive south of Winkler. This grade 1-8 rural school operates three classrooms, serving about 55 students, with a teaching staff of four and a support staff of three. It shares a resource and administration team with Border Valley School, providing unique learning opportunities and strong community relationships.
