Position: Contract Academic Staff - Indigenous Studies
Shape young minds at the University of Winnipeg as a Contract Academic Staff member in Indigenous Studies. Teach the Pathways Indigenous Wisdom course starting August 17, 2026.

This role invites qualified candidates to join the Faculty of Arts and instruct 22 classes of IS-. The position requires a related Master's degree, with a preference for applicants who have previous teaching experience at the college or university level. Further, candidates should note that the role is contingent upon sufficient enrollment and final budget approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the Pathways Indigenous Wisdom course effective September 8, 2026

• Lead classes on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

• Engage with projected enrollment of 20 students

• Ensure course objectives align with program standards

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development

Requirements:

• Related Master's degree required

• Previous college or university teaching experience preferred

• Availability from August 17, 2026, to May 14, 2027
