Join The University of Winnipeg as Contract Academic Staff for the English department this Fall. Teach and inspire students with the 'Reading Culture' course.
This position is available from August 17, 2026, to January 25, 2027, for teaching ENGL-. The instructor will lead 36 classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a focus on delivering an engaging educational experience. Candidates must possess an MA or MFA for this paid role of $6,655 including vacation pay.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement lesson plans for 'Reading Culture'
• Monitor and assess student progress and participation
• Encourage discussions that foster student engagement
• Work with English Department staff on course goals
• Maintain attendance and academic records of students
Requirements:
• MA or MFA in English or related area
• Experience in collegiate teaching highly valued

• Strong skills in communication and collaboration
• Willingness to adapt to course schedule demands
