Position: Instructor for Urban and Inner-City Studies
Become part of the University of Winnipeg’s faculty as a Contract Academic Staff member teaching Urban Poverty and Policy. This contract role aims to nurture critical discussions with a cohort of 25 students during the Winter term.

The University of Winnipeg is hiring for the Urban and Inner-City Studies course running from January to April 2027. Candidates should possess a Master's degree or extensive experience in a community leadership role to effectively teach 12 classes scheduled for Wednesdays. Your contributions will play a crucial role in exploring urban challenges and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Urban Poverty and Policy course effectively

• Create engaging course materials for students

• Assess and guide student assignments and discussions

• Collaborate with colleagues on course objectives

• Ensure alignment with student enrollment numbers

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in related field required

• At least 5 years’ community leadership experience

• Strong teaching and presentation skills

• Commitment to inclusivity and diversity

• Monitor and adapt course based on student interest
