Enhance student writing skills as Contract Academic Staff at the University of Winnipeg. Teach the Academic Writing:
Multidisciplinary course this upcoming Fall.
As a faculty member, you will instruct RHET- from September 8, 2026, to December 23, 2026. This role features 24 class sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, promoting essential writing competencies among 28 students. This opportunity is based at the Main Campus and focuses on creating a supportive educational atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in Academic Writing techniques
• Create a dynamic syllabus and learning materials
• Engage students with innovative teaching methods
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with department staff to enhance curriculum
Requirements:
• M.A. in Communications, English, Education or Social Sciences
• Strong teaching and communication abilities
• Background in academic writing education
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in education
• Willingness to teach morning classes
Utilize your skills in rhetoric and writing to support students at the University of Winnipeg.
