Instructor for Family Violence Course

The University of Manitoba is looking for a qualified candidate to instruct the Family Violence course (FMLY 2800 N67) starting August 31, 2026. Applicants should have a Master’s degree or be a Ph.D. candidate, along with a strong background in family violence. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, teaching, grading assignments, and providing constructive feedback to students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement instructional and evaluation materials

• Teach and assess students' understanding of course content

• Provide timely feedback on exams and assignments

• Maintain scheduled office hours to support students

• Foster inclusive classroom environments that respect diversity

Requirements:

• Master’s degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Excellent communication abilities in English

• Specialized knowledge in family violence or similar areas

• Proven ability in post-secondary teaching is essential

• Empathetic approach to student instruction required
