ABOUT THE TEAMThe Construction portfolio within the School of Skilled Trades and Technologies at RRC Polytech equips students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in Manitoba’s construction industry. Our programs include several skilled construction trades as well as Engineering Technologies and related programs. As an instructor within the Construction, your responsibilities would include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are trade safety, tools and equipment, plant science, identification, inventory management and installation, soil management, trade documents, layouts and surveying, environmental practices, plant care, propagation and maintenance among others.
The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.
- Red Seal certificate in Landscape Horticulture
- Post red seal experience in the landscaping horticulture industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
