Teaching Assistant for Structural Analysis

Support the teaching of Structural Analysis as a Teaching Assistant for CIVL 3760 A01 at the University of Manitoba. This role involves facilitating tutorials and providing essential student engagement.

The Department of Civil Engineering is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator for the fall 2026 semester. Ideal candidates will assist in instruction, prepare teaching materials, and engage with students to enhance their learning experience. Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with course content will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend orientation and planning meetings

• Facilitate tutorials and assist in lectures

• Prepare instructional handouts and exams

• Grade student assignments and provide feedback

• Hold regular office hours for student consultations

Requirements:

• Completed studies in a related field

• Familiarity with CIVL 3760 course content

• Strong English communication skills

• Ability to engage and assist students
