Effective:
September 8, 2026 to Dec 18, 2026

MUSIC TEACHER

The successful candidate should be:

certified in either Orff, Kodaly or Jaques-Dalcroze approaches to music education

comfortable teaching in an Orff classroom

able to model good vocal technique

able to model good recorder technique

able to use movement activities to support musical learning

able to use a variety of strategies to help students to “think musically”

familiar with the current K-8 Manitoba Music Curriculum

familiar with Manitoba Provincial Report Card requirements

willing to provide support for staff members using music in their classrooms

willing to support learning across the curriculum in the music classroom

Primary Location Prairie Sunrise School

Salary Range Provincial MTS Collective Agreement (available for viewing online)
