Educational Assistant C School Division

Enhance student learning as an Educational Assistant C with Winnipeg School Division. Support students with disabilities and assist teachers in creating inclusive educational experiences.

This role involves instructional support for students facing challenges in achieving educational outcomes. As an Educational Assistant C, you'll work with individuals or small groups, reinforcing skills, assisting with speech therapy, and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). The position also includes general duties such as supervising students and assisting during school events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional assistance to students with learning difficulties

• Assist teachers with organizing educational materials

• Facilitate speech/language therapy sessions

• Monitor student behavior and report progress

• Perform basic personal care and hygiene tasks

Requirements:

• Secondary education or equivalent experience

• Minimum one year working with students facing challenges

• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications

• Educational Assistant Diploma or Certificate preferred

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certificate is an asset
