Educational Assistant

Position: Winnipeg School Division Educational Assistant
Enhance student learning experiences as an Educational Assistant C with Winnipeg School Division. This role emphasizes instructional support for students with diverse educational needs in a collaborative setting.

In the Educational Assistant C role, you'll engage directly with students who require assistance in meeting their educational goals. By reinforcing classroom skills and helping implement Individual Educational Plans, you play a vital part in each student's development. This position requires effective communication and teamwork with teachers and staff while ensuring student safety during all school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional assistance to students needing extra support

• Supervise student activities, including lunch and recess

• Assist in preparing educational materials and organizing files

• Monitor student progress and maintain relevant records

• Administer First Aid when necessary

Requirements:

• Secondary education or related experience

• At least 1 year experience working with challenging students

• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications

• Educational Assistant Diploma preferred

• Background checks required for employment
