Location: Gimli
Join Evergreen School Division as an Educational Assistant at Gimli High School, supporting student development in a temporary 5.75-hour workday format.
Effective ASAP until June 30, 2027, this role involves assisting students with academic, social, and behavioral needs. A minimum of Grade 12 and experience as a Para Educator are preferred. You will participate in individualized programming and daily routines while also managing specific library support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with academic and social challenges
• Help implement speech-language and communication activities
• Supervise students during routines and activities
• Support library operations, including cataloguing
• Attend to safety and personal care needs of students
Requirements:
• Requires at least a Grade 12 education
• Preferred certification as a Para Educator
• Relevant experience with students required
• Coursework in behavior management beneficial
• Necessary technological skills to support classroom activities
Contribute to the educational journey at Gimli High School by fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
