Support students for 6.0 hours per day as an Educational Assistant C, using instructional assistance and behavioural support skills. Knowledge of French is an asset.
Winnipeg School Division seeks an Educational Assistant C under Principal or designate supervision. You will assist individual or small groups with educational, developmental, inclusive education, or behavioural needs. The work includes reinforcing teacher-identified skills, supporting assignments, and helping students remain focused. You will also support teachers, supervise students, and perform related duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide instructional assistance and reinforce identified student skills
- Support assignments, study habits, organization, and task focus
- Assist with student plans, therapy exercises, and personal care
- Prepare materials, observe progress, and maintain student records
- Supervise students and apply behaviour management procedures
- Complete secondary education or equivalent related work experience
- At least one year supporting students with difficulties
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
- Educational Assistant Diploma or Certificate is an asset
- Valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificate is an asset
