Temporary Educational Assistant Inclusive Learning

As a Temporary Educational Assistant 1, you will work under school administrators alongside classroom and resource teachers. The position supports students with behavioural, learning, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. You will foster engagement through classroom, small-group, individual, community-based, and adapted programming.

• Provide academic assistance in classroom, small-group, and individual settings
• Deliver specialized or adapted programming under teacher direction
• Document student-specific program performance
• Supervise recess, lunch, and swim program activities
• Support eating, communication, transportation, and medication needs

• Work within established classroom structures and behavioural expectations
• Support students with challenging educational needs
• Use augmentative and alternative communication
• Adapt flexibly to students’ educational programming
• Administer medication according to student U.R.I.S. plans
