Engineer-in-Training or Civil Technologist​/Technician, Land Development & Municipal Engineering

The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking for an Engineer-in-Training or Civil Technologist/Technician for our Land Development & Municipal Engineering group. This position is based in our Winnipeg office and will be responsible to work on municipal projects with a focus on public and private clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, municipal roads and land development.

WeAreWSP

• Participate in preliminary and detailed design, as well as drafting of water, sanitary, and drainage systems, roads, grading, and retention ponds
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support projects from concept through completion
• Perform design calculations under the supervision of professional engineers
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports
• Assist with the development of construction drawings, specifications, tender documents, cost estimates, and quantity schedules
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines to coordinate design efforts
• Engage in design reviews and provide input as needed

• An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology/Civil Engineering Technician Diploma from an accredited institution
• Eligible for registration with EGM as Engineer-in-Training
• Eligible for registration with CTTAM as a Technologist or Technician
• 2+ years’ experience in civil design and drafting
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with local municipal standards and approval processes in Manitoba would be beneficial
