We are seeking a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary program preferably in an environmental discipline to join our team as an Environmental Co-Op Student. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience and practical training in implementing an ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system within a manufacturing environment.
This position is ideal for a student interested in developing real-world skills in environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, operational controls, and management system development.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:- Supporting development and documentation of the environmental management system
- Assisting in identifying environmental aspects and impacts associate with operations
- Assisting with internal audits and compliance checks aligned with internal procedures and the ISO 14001 standard
- Collecting and organizing environmental performance data
- Assisting with environmental assessments and the development of ISO 14001:2015 compliant procedures
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with environmental performance
- Supporting sustainability initiatives, including participation in the Price Green Team
- Completed a minimum of first year Civil Engineering Technology or Bachelor’s degree program
- Knowledge of environmental management systems, the ISO 14001:2015 standard and its key concepts, considered a strong asset
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others
- Familiarity with standard office platforms, such MS Office applications
