Engineering Assistant – Summer TermThe successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software, with a strong focus on manufacturability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and design notes.
- Support and conduct product testing, analyzing results and updating design requirements as needed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions for assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Provide engineering support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing execution.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program (3rd or 4th year) or Mechanical Engineering Technology program (2nd year).
- Strong understanding of basic manufacturing processes and principles.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in Solid Works.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
