Structural Engineering Student

Overview   Structural Engineering Student Internship. This 4-month co-op internship begins September 2026 at Hatch’s Mississauga office. The role supports global structural engineering projects, providing design, analysis, material review, CAD drawings, and progress reporting.
Responsibilities     Assist in preparing engineering drawings, design calculations, material take-off, literature review, technical specifications, and reports for energy and industrial projects.
Use CAD tools for 2D drawing and 3D model reviews.
Provide support for progress reporting and assessment of various ongoing engineering tasks.
Interface with staff to support projects as necessary.
Qualifications     3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a specific interest in structural analysis and design; completion or enrollment in structural engineering courses required.
Familiarity with CAD/Design software (MathCAD, Excel, SAP
2000, STAAD.Pro, Micro Station, AutoCAD) considered an asset.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
High regard for job safety and quality work; ability to work in a team environment.
Extracurricular involvement; enthusiastic and ambitious.
