The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) to support the continued growth of our Winnipeg office team.
Your role
Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
Participate in projects across Canada, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting national project delivery.
Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports, and structural inspections.
Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase and provide construction support.
Ensure that engineering work is produced in accordance with industry quality standards and complies with the National Building Code and applicable Provincial building codes.
Coordinate projects impacting structural design with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
Maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Develop and mentor junior staff through coaching, technical guidance, and ongoing performance feedback.
Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition, technical input, and working closely with project managers and business development teams.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
5-10 years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP
2000, SAFE, etc.).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
