Join WSP as an Intermediate Environmental Scientist, focusing on contaminated site assessments and remediation efforts. You'll experience hands-on fieldwork and project coordination in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Regina.
WSP is seeking a motivated Intermediate Environmental Scientist for its RPM team. In this role, you'll collaborate on high-impact projects, conducting investigations and remediations of contaminated sites. Essential tasks include coordinating fieldwork, preparing safety plans, and compiling technical reports while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare site-specific health and safety plans
• Coordinate and manage fieldwork and subcontractors
• Conduct soil, groundwater, and sediment investigations
• Assist in preparing proposals and work scopes
• Mentor junior staff in environmental assessments
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering
• Minimum 1 year in contaminated site assessments
• Understanding of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba regulations
• Experience in soil and groundwater sampling
• Remedial excavation experience is essential
