Product Introduction Engineer

Position: Product Introduction Engineer Role
Join SMG as a Product Introduction Engineer, where you will facilitate the seamless transition from development to production while maintaining high-performance standards.

In this critical role, you will engage with cross-functional teams to guide new products through their lifecycle, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and cost objectives. You'll contribute to APQP deliverables, support supplier qualifications, and utilize your engineering background to conduct essential reviews to guarantee manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own timelines for NPI deliverables and manage production readiness

• Conduct reviews to ensure products are designed for manufacturability

• Document processes using ERP and project management tools

• Drive APQP deliverables and maintain quality standards

• Collaborate with suppliers for technical support and feedback

Requirements:

• At least 2 years in NPI or manufacturing engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field preferred

• Familiarity with manufacturing and quality engineering principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read mechanical drawings accurately
