Overview
AECOM is hiring a Geotechnical Lab Technologist in Winnipeg, MB. This full time position involves conducting lab tests and fieldwork for geotechnical investigations. As a key member of our team, you will carry out tests such as hydrometer and direct shear tests while coordinating with subcontractors. Responsibilities- Conduct site visits for construction activities monitoring and prepare comprehensive inspection reports. Ensure all operations meet budgetary constraints and timelines while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct various lab tests including proctor and hydraulic conductivity.
- Visit sites and engage in geotechnical investigations.
- Perform inspections like proof roll and pile integrity.
- Allocate work in compliance with budgets and timelines.
- Provide assistance in quality control and earthworks-related tasks.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
- Minimum of 2 years in soils laboratory settings
- Valid and unrestricted driver s license
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and civil engineering software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
