Elevate geotechnical engineering standards with Fuerte Metals at the Coffee Gold Project in Yukon. Lead critical projects in cold‑climate geotechnics, ensuring safety and reliability.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will oversee geotechnical aspects including earthworks and solution ponds. You will develop geotechnical models, conduct stability analyses, and apply engineering judgment to address cold‑climate challenges. Supporting compliance with legislation, you will also engage with regulators and contribute to comprehensive technical reports.
Key Responsibilities
Lead geotechnical engineering for solution ponds and embankments
Develop design criteria and perform stability analyses
Ensure practical and cost‑effective designs for operations
Participate in site inspections and support Quality Management programs
Oversee monitoring programs for geotechnical safety
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
Eligibility for Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.) in Yukon
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of Indigenous customs is a plus
