Join Smartrend Manufacturing as an Experienced NPI Engineer and impact the school bus and electric vehicle industries. This role focuses on overseeing new product transitions from concept to production.
In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively within a cross-functional NPI team, ensuring new parts fulfill key performance and cost objectives. Your day-to-day responsibilities include interfacing with design, supply chain, and engineering departments to drive successful manufacturing launches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own NPI project deliverables and timelines
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability assessments
• Utilize internal systems for tracking NPI progress
• Work with procurement for new components sourcing
• Facilitate risk assessments to enhance production efficiency
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in NPI or product development
• Preferably a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and technical specs
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with CAD and 3D printing processes
