In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and development of sustaining SAGD pads and wells, integrating subsurface characterization and completion design. Collaborate with geoscientists and operations teams to enhance SAGD performance predictability and operational efficiency. This position demands strong technical skills and experience to drive impactful development decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for SAGD pad and well projects
• Generate reservoir forecasts for planning and budgeting
• Analyze production data to improve forecasting accuracy
• Optimize well placement using thermal reservoir engineering principles
• Identify subsurface development risks using simulation studies
Requirements:
• P.Eng. designation in good standing
• Minimum 8 years in reservoir or development engineering
• Expertise in numerical reservoir simulation
• Strong understanding of SAGD processing facilities
• Experience with PowerBI, SQL, Python, or similar tools
