Joining the Public Works Operations Department, this role is ideal for proactive individuals. As a Temporary Operator-in-Training, you'll be responsible for the operation and upkeep of water and wastewater assets. Candidates must possess a Grade 12 diploma and valid licensing, with preference given to those with additional certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain water/wastewater equipment
• Perform manual labor tasks as required
• Assist in regular maintenance of municipal systems
• Communicate effectively with public and team members
• Follow safety protocols and organizational guidelines
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma qualification
• Valid Class D-Z Ontario driver’s license
• Operator-in-Training certificate required
• Preference for Class I/II water/wastewater certifications
• Mechanical aptitude and computer skills
