The Township of St. Clair seeks two proactive individuals eager to learn in the Public Works Operations Department. As a Temporary Operator-in-Training, you will execute operational tasks under the supervision of the Crew Leader. Ideal candidates should be prepared for fieldwork, equipment handling, and contributing positively to the township's water and wastewater services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain water/wastewater infrastructure

• Assist with manual labor and various equipment operations

• Conduct maintenance and repairs as needed

• Collaborate with the Crew Leader on assigned projects

• Engage in routine inspections of water/wastewater assets

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma and Class D-Z Ontario driver's license

• OIT certificate required;
Class I or II preferred

• Familiarity with water/wastewater systems

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer proficiency
