Overview
Join AtkinsRéalis' Rail Systems Trackwork team in Toronto and launch your engineering career on impactful transit projects across Canada and globally. As a junior Engineer-in-Training, you will contribute to the design and construction of light rail, metro, and heavy rail networks, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and innovative engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Perform track alignment and geometric layout for rail infrastructure projects.
- Conduct ride-quality analysis and optimization to improve system performance.
- Support trackwork design and prepare detailed engineering drawings.
- Complete quantity take-offs and contribute to cost estimating activities.
- Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and documentation.
- Analyze as-built survey data to support project accuracy and validation.
- Provide design support during construction to ensure project execution.
- Ability to hold a university degree in Civil Engineering.
- Eligibility to register or be registered with EGBC.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including AutoCAD or Micro Station.
- Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Experience or aptitude with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley Rail Track design software is an asset.
Expected compensation for this role is between $60,000 and $74,000. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience and potential impact on the role.
