Join the Conventional Heavy Oil team in Calgary as a Senior Geologist, focusing on reservoir optimization and stakeholder collaboration for project success. If you have strong expertise in geological evaluation and technical insights, this role is for you.
In this senior role, you will report to the Alberta Geoscience Manager at our Calgary office. Your responsibilities will include geological evaluations, preparing recommendations for development strategies, and monitoring industry trends to integrate innovations. Collaborating with teams across geology, engineering, and production is essential to drive efficient project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geological evaluations across core data and production info
• Generate insights to support asset development strategies
• Prepare technical recommendations for leadership approvals
• Evaluate land opportunities for acquisition and retention
• Champion continuous improvements in workflows and project economics
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. in Geology with 8+ years of related experience
• APEGA registration or similar professional membership
• Proficiency in Geographix, Accumap, and Petrel software
• Strong project management and technical evaluation skills
• Solid understanding of sequence stratigraphy and clastic systems
Utilize your geological expertise and project management experience to enhance development plans and strategies for our Conventional Heavy Oil team.
