Position: Aquifer Sustainability Hydrogeologist Role
Become a key player in Manitoba's groundwater sustainability as an Aquifer Sustainability Hydrogeologist with the Department of Environment and Climate Change. This full-time position is crucial for managing groundwater resources.

This role requires a skilled professional to conduct research on groundwater sustainability and manage monitoring networks effectively. Candidates must have a strong background in geology and experience in resource allocation and project management. Critical thinking and communication skills will be essential in contributing to planning policies regarding groundwater.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and quantify groundwater withdrawal sustainability

• Report and map aquifer resources accurately

• Oversee the provincial groundwater monitoring systems

• Assess large groundwater withdrawal project applications

Requirements:

• Degree in science or engineering, master's in hydrogeology preferred

• Strong expertise in groundwater assessment principles

• Experience in applied research and communication

• Leadership experience in supervising project staff

• Must possess Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license
