Seaspan Shipyards is seeking a dedicated Planner II to work on-site in North Vancouver. This position involves developing pre-production engineering strategies while implementing process improvements for shipbuilding. You will analyze production processes for effectiveness and mentor junior engineers to foster team growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and analyze pre-production engineering strategies
• Implement process improvements in ship construction
• Analyze production processes for efficiency
• Research and apply industry best practices
• Provide mentorship to junior process engineers
Requirements:
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in planning
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
• Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to teamwork and safety compliance
