Become BHP's Principal Plate Tectonic Modeler, working within the Metals Global Endowment team in Toronto, Canada. This hybrid role focuses on innovative geological modeling and working closely with other geoscientists.

This opportunity is designed for seasoned geoscientists, specifically those with over eight years of exploration experience. You will engage in dynamic plate reconstruction modeling and integrate proprietary data, as well as execute and analyze geodynamic simulations, all while employing Python and GIS for automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on dynamic tectonic plate models

• Build and maintain a robust tectonic reconstruction framework

• Integrate proprietary datasets into geological models

• Run geodynamic simulations and assess outcomes

• Automate model updates using Python and GIS technology

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geodynamics or similar field

• At least eight years of geoscience exploration experience

• Proven ability in diverse dataset modeling

• Strong focus on improving regional plate reconstructions

• Familiarity with GPlates and Python
