Join CPKC in Winnipeg, Manitoba as an Automation Controls Technician specializing in Maintenance Planning.
Your role will focus on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant automation systems through expert troubleshooting.
In this full-time position, your experience of 10–15 years in fixed plant maintenance will be vital for optimizing both preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. You will work closely with the maintenance staff to enhance technical capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across automation controls.
Your role is geared towards ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot fixed plant equipment and implement reliability improvements
• Provide technical direction and support to maintenance personnel
• Develop wiring diagrams and oversee system integrations
• Manage maintenance schedules and conduct audits
• Communicate and analyze maintenance KPIs for better performance
Requirements:
• High School Diploma; additional technical training a plus
• 10–15 years fixed plant experience with troubleshooting expertise
• Background as an Industrial Electrician or Technician
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools
• Proven leadership and communication skills
