Join Manitoba Hydro as a Senior HVDC Engineer, where you'll lead innovative design initiatives for HVDC Converter and Transmission stations. Enjoy a nine-day work cycle promoting work-life balance.
As part of the Station Design Department, you will manage complex engineering projects and oversee the work of consultants in HVDC systems and controls.
Your role will include developing design reports, preparing specifications, and ensuring that project deliverables align with established timelines and guidelines. Effective communication with both internal teams and external partners is key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and lead HVDC systems design activities
• Compile comprehensive engineering packages for projects
• Assess consultant submissions for quality and compliance
• Coordinate with various stakeholders and contractors
• Develop test procedures for commissioning HVDC installations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• At least 7 years of relevant HVDC experience
• Strong familiarity with HVDC technology and systems
• Management experience in engineering teams preferred
• Ability to travel and maintain security clearance
