Operator-in-Training at Township of St. Clair

The Township of St. Clair seeks two proactive individuals for Temporary Operator-in-Training roles within the Public Works Operations Department. Candidates will perform regular operational tasks, maintenance, and repairs while directly supervised by the Crew Leader. Ideal candidates should be ready for both fieldwork and equipment operation, enhancing the township's water and wastewater assets.

• Operate and maintain water/wastewater assets
• Assist with manual labor and equipment operations
• Perform maintenance and repairs as required
• Collaborate with the Crew Leader on tasks
• Engage in routine inspections of assets

• Grade 12 diploma and Class D-Z Ontario driver's license
• OIT certificate required;
  Class I or II certification preferred
• Experience with water/wastewater systems
• Solid communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and computer literacy
