Position: Manufacturing Engineer at New Flyer
Join New Flyer as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting electrical system integration and lean initiatives. Collaborate with teams to drive manufacturing process improvements and equipment upgrades.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at New Flyer, you will support manufacturing engineering activities within assigned cells.

Your role will involve troubleshooting, facilitating engineering change orders, and improving operational metrics. You will also design equipment and participate in strategic meetings to implement lean manufacturing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support within assigned manufacturing cells

• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives like 5S and value stream mapping

• Review and implement engineering change orders and notifications

• Design equipment and tooling to optimize production

• Document progress in the manufacturing cell log

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant engineering field

• Lean certification or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and organizational skills

• Goal-oriented with strong motivation to meet deadlines

• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
