Energy Focused Mechanical Systems Engineer

Efficiency Manitoba is looking for a Mechanical Systems Engineer to enhance energy efficiency across Manitoba's buildings. This full-time position focuses on innovative engineering solutions in the commercial and institutional sectors.

In this role, you'll work under the Mechanical Systems Technical Lead, engaging with teams to improve energy efficiency in high-performance buildings. Your responsibilities include overseeing energy model reviews and providing technical support for energy programs across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of whole-building energy models

• Support commercial sector energy efficiency programs

• Create educational content on energy-efficient systems

• Attend site meetings to discuss energy upgrades

• Build relationships with industry professionals and authorities

Requirements:

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with four or more years of experience

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy modeling

• Experience with energy efficiency programs and protocols

• Familiarity with industry standards and building codes

• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts
