Field-Focused Environmental Scientist at WSP

WSP is hiring a Field-Focused Environmental Scientist to coordinate monitoring and remediation of contaminated sites. Utilize your experience with hydrocarbons and environmental assessments in a critical role.

This Intermediate Environmental Scientist position is part of WSP’s RPM team located in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, or Regina. Collaborate with a team of professionals on complex projects that involve soil and groundwater investigations. The role requires excellent organization and communication skills, alongside a proactive approach to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop site-specific health and safety plans

• Oversee field work for environmental site assessments

• Prepare proposals and manage project budgets

• Compile and interpret data for reporting

• Mentor junior staff during assessment activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering

• Minimum 1 year experience in site assessments required

• Familiarity with remedial excavation and sampling

• Knowledge of environmental regulations in target provinces

• Professional designation preferred
