Parks Asset GIS Technologist

Position: Parks Asset GIS Technologist Role
Join the City of Saskatoon as a GIS Technologist dedicated to park management. Utilize your expertise in GIS and AutoCAD to maintain data systems and assist with public inquiries.

As part of the Parks department, you will support the Parks Asset Management Coordinator by managing and updating GIS databases for parks and related assets. Your responsibilities will include creating GIS drawings and evaluating database management standards while ensuring team members are trained on software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain GIS databases for parks

• Produce drawings and conduct spatial analyses using AutoCAD

• Provide GIS data information to staff and public

• Assess standards for effective GIS management

• Conduct training sessions on GIS and AutoCAD tools

Requirements:

• Graduation from a relevant drafting technology program

• Certifications in GIS and AutoCAD

• At least two years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with natural assets is a plus

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
