Join WSP as a Senior Traction Power Engineer focused on rail and transit systems in Ontario. Lead technical studies and contribute to innovative engineering solutions for the industry.
With a minimum of 10 years' experience, you will be responsible for conducting thorough traction power studies, including protection coordination and fault analysis.
Your role will involve interpreting complex results and ensuring compliance with industry standards, which is crucial for maintaining high-quality deliverables. You'll also collaborate effectively with various engineering teams to support integrated system designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct load flow and protection coordination studies
• Guide compliance decisions based on study results
• Validate and review engineering drawings and specs
• Design grounding and bonding per safety requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary design and risk assessments
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
Master’s is a plus
• Ontario P.Eng. license or eligibility required
• 10+ years in traction power engineering
• Experience with large-scale transit projects
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
