Field Hazardous Materials Technician

WSP is seeking a technician to support various public and private clients in Alberta and beyond. You'll work alongside industrial hygienists and specialists to conduct assessments for hazardous materials like asbestos, mold, and lead. The position includes extensive travel and paid overtime, ensuring you gain valuable field experience and technical growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct occupational hygiene assessments in diverse environments
• Collect and analyze samples for hazardous material evaluations
• Prepare and calibrate sampling equipment for fieldwork
• Prepare clear, detailed reports based on assessment results
• Supervise asbestos abatement activities on-site
Requirements:
• Secondary education or related certification is a plus
• Experience in hazardous materials assessment is beneficial
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle required
• Ability to wear necessary PPE for varied field conditions
• Adaptability and strong communication skills needed
