Take on a key role as a Water and Wastewater Facilities Operator with the City of North Bay, Ontario. In this position, you'll be essential in maintaining and inspecting vital water distribution and wastewater systems.
Reporting to the Sewer & Water Supervisor, your responsibilities include ensuring municipal systems run smoothly and efficiently. Ideal candidates will have at least a year of operating experience and must hold Class I Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment certifications. Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with SCADA systems are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections of water systems
• Maintain municipal wastewater collection systems
• Provide guidance on safety regulations
• Complete and file all necessary operational reports
• Efficiently utilize SCADA and Hansen systems
Requirements:
• Diploma in Environmental Technology or equivalent
• Class I certifications for water and wastewater
• Minimum one-year certified operating experience
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Solid communication and reporting skills
