Join Aecon as a Welding Engineer leading welding initiatives on the RF project at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
Your role ensures compliance and fosters innovative practices in welding.
Reporting to the Welding Program Manager, you’ll oversee and control welding activities, ensuring alignment with top industry standards like ASME, CWB, and AWS. Your leadership will be instrumental in refurbishing critical reactor systems while maintaining high quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the execution of various welding projects
• Prepare documents, including Technical Specifications and RFQs
• Recommend vendors based on technical specifications
• Review key construction codes for accuracy
• Collaborate with the Welding Center of Excellence
Requirements:
• Must hold a valid P.Eng. designation
• At least 5 years in a welding construction environment
• Experience with relevant welding codes and standards
• Knowledge of design software and welding innovations
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
