GIS Expert Parks Management

Position: GIS Expert for Parks Management
Enhance park asset management for the City of Saskatoon as a GIS Technologist. Apply your GIS and AutoCAD knowledge to maintain databases and support public inquiry services.

You will work closely with the Parks Asset Management Coordinator to implement GIS systems and maintain accurate spatial databases.

Your role includes creating GIS drawings and recommending improvements for database management while ensuring staff are trained in software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain GIS databases for parks

• Develop drawings and perform spatial analyses with AutoCAD

• Respond to inquiries about GIS data from staff and public

• Evaluate and enhance database management standards

• Provide training on GIS and AutoCAD to team members

Requirements:

• Graduation from an applicable drafting technology program

• GIS and AutoCAD course certifications completed

• Minimum of two years related experience

• Knowledge of natural assets is advantageous

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
